Sober in Seattle? Sip these non-alcoholic drinks from the PNW

Whether you're sober or curious about the sober movement, you’re not alone. According to the results of a recent survey by the American Addiction Centers, more millennials and Gen Z consumers than ever before consider themselves mindful drinkers and are saying no or scaling back on booze. Look to celebs like Katy Perry and Blake Livley for inspiration. Both have developed their own line of non-alcoholic beverages.

There’s a handful of PNW brands embracing the sober lifestyle trend, and they are bringing their A-game!

Joyus

Maybe you’re taking a break from alcohol for a night, 9 months, or the rest of your life? Either way, Seattle-based Joyus has a variety of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. Opt for the award-winning Jøyus Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Dual Pack ($49.98.) The Rosé has Pacific Northwest notes of ripe blackberries, summer strawberries and California citrus blossoms, a perfect balance of west coast flavors. For the white, enjoy notes of crisp green apple, fragrant fall pear and a ripe melon finish.

The Pathfinder

You can find The Pathfinder at a growing list of Seattle-based restaurants or shop it online ($35). The Pathfinder is a fermented and distilled hemp-based liquid with the intense flavor and aromatic characteristics of a spirit with zero alcohol. In mocktails, the Hemp & Root signature spritz recipe is recommended. It can also be taken as a shot, sipped neat, served on the rocks, or used to modify a multitude of classic cocktails - without the booze.
